Saturday fun

Yesterday was a fun day. We got up and enjoyed some bagel's with cream cheese for breakfast, got dressed and headed to Target. I got a new dress, shoes, and a necklace. Unfortunately the dress didn't fit right so I went back and got a skirt that I liked much better instead. Chloe had fun helping me pick out something pretty. We picked up a quick lunch, came back for a nap, and played the rest of the afternoon. We had a wicked storm pass thru after Chloe went to bed and we got a few great shots of the clouds.

It was a gorgeous weekend to cap off the month of May. Looking forward to a wonderful June!

I think I spent a half hour convincing her it was just different than her other shirts and Gramma would like to see it on her! It finally worked!

New pets!!

Chloe loves her pets so much! She is an animal lover! So, for being a good girl for the whole week, we rewarded her with a new pet. A pet fish! I asked her on Thursday that if she got the fish what she would name him, she immediately said, "Emmitt". Ummm...okay! As far as I know she has never heard that name before in my life!

Friday after we picked her up from daycare, we headed to PetSmart and let her pick out some fish. We ended up getting three goldfish. I named mine Cleo, Shawn named his Oscar and Chloe stuck with her name Emmitt. Well, she sometimes calls him Orange as well. Goof!

She helped Shawn put the fish tank together and get the fish acclimated to thier new home. She loves helping us feed them and look at them. She truly is a lover of all God's creatures, great and small!

Memorial Day Weekend 2009

Had a great Memorial Day weekend this year. Work gave us a half day so Shawn and I were off by 12:30. We went home and started tiling our bathroom. Well, we sat around for about two hours trying to figure out how in the heck we were going to do it and then finally started around 3 once we thought we knew what we were doing!

After picking up Chloe and having a quick dinner, we loaded up the family truckster and headed up to Lowell. Chloe was of course up until way too late and proceeded to sleep very well in spite of keeping Shawn and I up all night!!!

Saturday We went to Evergreen Park in Lowell, had fun blowing bubbles, and hanging out with the Kessel clan. Unfortunately Chloe and I slept thru a great steak cookout, but we were so exhausted!!

We then we and visiting Aunt Debbie's new kitty, Amos. Chloe was in love the instant we saw him! We then headed down to Griffith Manor for the night. Had a great cookout with Terry and Jeanne and Aunt Debbie.

Monday we went shopping. Got some cute clothes for Chloe at Target, found a light for our half bath and got some goodies at Michael's. We headed home later that night and crashed! We had a great time visiting both families! Looking forward to our next get together!
